No One Left Out means doubling down on inclusion for young people. With up to 300,000 children missing from education, the school attendance crisis cannot be ‘solved’ in isolation. So-called ‘youth violence’ cannot be stopped through knife crime initiatives alone. We must radically improve support for those children who are being failed by our systems and left vulnerable to exploitation and harm.

The work’s not done
Oasis runs dozens of youth projects, including ‘violence reduction’ partnerships, and the country’s first secure school, an alternative to a youth offender’s institution. We are bringing all that experience to bear as we pilot this vision for therapeutic and wraparound support for young lives.
Beginning with the brand-new Oasis St Martin’s Village in south London, our youth hubs will work with local partners (charities, NHS, education, faith and community groups) to provide a whole ecosystem of opportunity and care including
- Extensive after-school and weekend experiences, from filmmaking to farming, helping young people to explore their strengths and skills through creative activities tailored to their interests
- Genuinely alternative education, giving young people who are struggling in or not coping with mainstream provision, time out during the school day in a therapeutic environment
- A holistic community approach, including parents and whole families in a journey to thriving, with work and spaces that are led and owned by local people and organisations, pulling together the power of the voluntary sector
